MEET
Leticia Almeida
​
I am fortunate enough to have been raised by a village of strong and caring women. Because I have always been in contact with babies and new mothers, I naturally developed a passion for childbirth and women's care.
​
Seven years later, and in a different country, I became a certified Doula providing emotional, physical, and informational support to mothers before, during, and after childbirth.
​
I truly enjoy helping families navigate the birthing process and make informed decisions about their care by sharing the knowledge I have received from wise women since my early days.
​
I am trained in various comfort measures such as massage, breathing techniques, and positioning and can provide guidance and support to your partners and other support persons.
​
I also have over eight years of experience in postpartum support and breastfeeding guidance. I believe in empowering families and fostering a positive birth experience. For that reason, I am currently a nursing student, on track to become a nurse-midwife, so I can widen the care I provide to women of all ages.

I am available to support your family in your birth journey, and I am excited to be a part of such a remarkable time in your lives.

"Leticia was an indispensable part of our postpartum experience with our second baby. I had a very tough pp period with my first and knew I wanted to do things differently. She met us at home after the hospital and from that moment on we had an additional person on our parenting team. My husband was able to sleep and/or focus on our toddler while Leticia and I did nights with the baby (I was breastfeeding and pumping and she did the rest!) and I credit her with both of us maintaining our mental health so much better this time. We continued to have her come a night or two a week for months as she was one of the only people we trusted completely with the baby if we went out of the house to grab dinner after bedtime. In all likelihood she’d still be coming to our house once a week at 10 months postpartum if she hadn’t gone and had her own baby! I can only imagine that now with the additional experience of giving birth and having her own newborn Leticia will be somehow even more knowledgeable and a better resource.
